The Founding of PAXLY
Torsten Beyenbach spent 15 years in packaging sales — and recognized early how much efficiency goes untapped in packaging procurement: processes still run on paper and email, comparability is hard to come by, markets are opaque.
Where other founding stories begin in a garage, this one began in a childhood bedroom. From there, Torsten sketched out the idea that would become PAXLY. He found two kindred spirits in Alexander Dür and Thomas Auer who shared the vision. In 2019, the idea became a company.
Torsten Beyenbach
Founder & CPO
The original vision. 15 years in packaging sales taught Torsten where procurement structurally creaks — and how much can be unlocked with the right digital tools. He is still with PAXLY today, leading product and customer success as CPO.
Alexander Dür
Co-Founder
Alexander brought the technical depth to the founding team as CTO and built the platform during the early years. Today he works as a freelance software engineer and consultant from Vienna, supporting start-ups as a fractional CTO and in MVP development. More at alexduer.com.
Thomas Auer
Co-Founder
Thomas brought entrepreneurial experience and operational depth to the founding team — at 21 he had already taken over his family business and built his own ERP system there. At PAXLY he played a defining role in the early years: go-to-market, sales, team-building, funding. Today he advises technology and infrastructure companies through growth and transformation phases.
